How can I change what I know to be incorrect? The person, tdowling, who "owns" the tree (unknown connection to my family) has been contacted but has not responded. What can I do?

You can ask us if this is information about living persons.

If this is about deceased persons, you must contact him and wait for an answer...

There are several errors in the Corlin family branch of the Dowling tree, for people both alive and deceased.

The "owner of the tree" is only very distantly related to an aunt who married my father's brother! I am certain he never met or knew of any of the people he entered in record here. He may be deceased himself, or at least disinterested.

What is the point of providing a research site if it is known to be incorrect? You must allow corrections, or this entire process is false and useless.

I am sure this is not the first time this happens. I understand the mess that is created by unsubstantiated dabbling, but I can prove each of my corrections.

Perhaps you should be allowing corrections by actual family when the "owner" has no connection, as in this case!

I will continue to attempt to contact "the owner", but if history depends on his response, and if it is not forthcoming, Geneanet is on the wrong side of that history.

There are family trees with some errors in all genealogy websites.

M. Dowling is still alive so we suggest that you wait for his answer.
