The name of the mother was not easy to read; I looked at the census of Rochecorbon in 1872 and on page 28, one can read the whole family and the birth location of the parents Pierre Richard from  (49) and his wife Anne GRASLIN from FONDETTES (37)
I found her birth on 23rd February 1819 in FONDETTES

Also, thank you for the census! I sent that person a message a week ago and I am still waiting for a reply.

I know the address that my grandfather lived in when he left France for the U.S. so I was wondering if there would be a census on that. It was around 1928 in Tours, France  The address was 6 Rue Des Cerisiers. He was living with a grandmother, which I believe was Emelie Rituit because his other grandmother from his father's side was already dead.

* Good news: there are census records and Tables de successions et d'absences for that period (the later is a legal and taxes document when someone dies: family members who can inherit are listed)
* Bad news: they are not accessible for privacy purpose (legal protection of private life for recent period)

Some of the things I am looking for are causes of death, military records, pictures (which are impossible to get, I am sure), and any decedents in France.

I have a few birth records and I also know Francois Maurel's family had a farm in France, but I am trying to see who he lived with before moving to America and maybe why he decided to come. His mother was already here for about 5 years before he came. Basically, a timeline of events which may be a bit tricky but once I get the pieces together I should be able to put it together.
François Maurel, a construction site foreman, died on 2 April 1920 at 10 pm at 53 rue Simon, Reims but I don't know how he died.
François Maurel's family lived at Carbonnerie, Valeyrac, Sarrazac and the farm had belonged to the family for a few generations.
