MacLeod or McLeod

Any information on a Norman MacLeod born about 1873 and on a birth certificate of one of his sons (in Australia) it states he was born in Ayr Scotland.  He married Elizabeth Martin in Adelaide, South Australia in 1902.  They had three sons.  He was on the ships here - again on one birth certificate he described himself as a Master Mariner and yet in a Victorian Police Gazette published in 1919 when his wife was looking for him it was stated he was a carpenter on the ships.
I know nothing about him up until he was married here - the three sons were born in 1903, 1906 and 1909 and I know nothing more of him after that.

You might want to try some of the Facebook groups that are available. I have seen this name in a few of my groups. Just type in search bar the town and a list will come up. Good luck.
