Hello,
Can I import a Gedcom in my existing tree without affecting existing information and what happens if the imported Gedcom contains information conflicting with my existing tree? Thank you

Yes. Below the GEDCOM file selector, select the "Add Data" option instead of "Replace Data". Duplicate persons will be added and you must remove them manually after the upload.

Thank you Jean-Yves. Is there a way to import only the photos and documents of a Gedcom into an existing tree in Geneanet?

You can use our "Geneanet Uplaod" application to upload photos and documents: http://en.geneanet.org/product/upload

It will also update your family tree but anyway, all photos and documents will be automatically uploaded and attached to the correct persons.
